CourseEdgeX

CourseEdgeX is a feature-rich learning management system I built with Next.js 15, TypeScript, Sanity CMS, Clerk, Stripe, Tailwind CSS, and Shadcn UI. It covers the full loop of an LMS: creators publish courses, modules, and lessons in Sanity; students sign in with Clerk, buy access through Stripe, watch video lessons (YouTube, Vimeo, Loom), and pick up where they left off. Content publishes in real time from the CMS, unpaid material stays behind protected routes, and enrollment is driven by Stripe webhooks — not a client-side flag.

• Student catalog: browse courses, purchase, enroll, and take module-based learning paths
• Lesson completion, course progress calculation, and progress synced across sessions
• Continue where you left off from a student dashboard with sidebar navigation
• Multiple video players — YouTube, Vimeo, and Loom — in a responsive lesson view
• Creators manage courses, modules, lessons, and media in Sanity with live publishes
• Clerk authentication, protected routes, and role-based access to paid content
• Stripe checkout, webhook handling, and subscription-based course access
• Server Components and Server Actions, skeleton loaders, dark mode, and a Shadcn UI design system

• Developed a feature-rich LMS with authentication, course progress tracking, and payments end to end.
• Implemented secure Stripe checkout and webhook handling for subscription-based access — payment success is what unlocks the curriculum.
• Built a modular, CMS-driven architecture in Sanity so course structure and content can change without a new deploy.
• Improved application performance using Next.js Server Components and Server Actions for course pages and enrollment flows.
